My name is Sam Bennett and I’m the face behind Indigo Proofreading.

I am fascinated by words and how we can use them to communicate our ideas, emotions and values. I have 15 years experience as a freelance proofreader and editor, working with academic and business clients.

In 2015 I decided to go it alone and set up my own company. I currently split my time between Indigo and teaching at the Faculty of English at Adam Mickiewicz University, where I am an Assistant Professor. I am also the Assistant Editor of the Journal of Language & Politics.

My academic work has been published by leading journals and publishers (Oxford University Press, Bloomsbury, Routledge).

I have also written a number of articles for major news and comment outlets such as New Statesman in the UK and Krytyka Polityczna in Poland. Originally from the UK, I have lived, worked and studied in Ukraine, Spain, Israel and now Poland. I also have 20 years of experience working with NGOs.
